Of Dropping Out From The Contest

First of all I am really sorry to have made you guys voted for me by paying quite a big sum of lindens. And just like the title, indeed, I am dropping out from the model search contest I mentioned in my previous entry.

I know there will be a big question as to why I’m dropping out from the contest. And allow me to explain.

I joined the contest 2 days after it’s announced, and some leading ones have got many votes and hence causing me to pester my friends to vote for me. I felt that by troubling my friends to vote is a little unreasonable as the contest would last for 15 days. What will you feel if you receive IMs from me everyday asking you to vote? I think that is really annoying. Furthermore, you have to PAY to vote.

I barely know the contestants but I smelled drama already, everybody wants to win the contest but I don’t think it is that difficult to understand there should be a healthy competition. I’ve got some contestants telling me stories about each other. I took a liberal stand because I don’t want unnecessary dramas! So by dropping out, I am minimizing the drama is yet to happen to me.

The contest is actually held at the rival club of the current club I am working at. I felt so bad to take part without investigating properly about the location and I am grateful because my employer wasn’t mad about it. But I promise I will be cautious when it comes to contest like this.

Thank you so much everyone for being such awesome friends to show support to me. It was really a great experience! Although I may seem like a quitter, at least I have other projects to focus on rather than keep sending out the notice begging y’all to vote for me. I could have shared better stuff right?

I am working with a designer friend who is eager to launch his new line, will write about it once I’m done with the photoshooting. Apart from that, Evane’s Models Agency will hold an *official* graduation party for us and I am terribly excited to change my tag from “trainee” to “model”. :D

See? Without the contest, I am still able to work on many stuff. And I sincerely wish all the contestants good luck!

Cheers!

Xero it hurts me to know that you feel this way however, I do understand why and how you do. Looking at the others pics you by far have more style and character than any of the others up there. I’m not saying this because you’re my friend, I’m saying it because it’s true. You just keep on being you and you’ll be one of the top male models in SL before anyone can blink. They’ll be scratching their heads saying “where did he come from?” I look forward to that day. Love ya Xero.
